In using the words conservative Evangelical, Reformed and Baptist, I am referring to Baptist churches who affirm all the fundamentals of the Christian faith (including the inerrancy of the Bible), the doctrines of grace and the Baptist distinctives but do not subscribe to the anti-intellectualism, anti-culturalism, and extreme separatism that have characterized much of today's "fundamentalism."

I am a Christian from Rizal province. Like most Christians here in our country, I am from an Arminian Evangelical church. I got exposed to Reformed Theology through my study of apologetics. I have questions here about Baptists. My first encounter with the Baptists are with Fundamental Baptists.

My question:

1. Reformed Baptists identify themselves as "Evangelical" whereas Fundamental Baptists identify themselves as "Fundamentalist." Are there Reformed Baptists who subscribe to a strictly separatist "fundamentalist" mentality?
2. I have a friend who studies at the Grace Ministerial Academy of the Cubao Reformed Baptist Church. He told me that modern fundamentalism is not Biblical. What exactly is wrong with modern fundamentalism?
